Sterilization with ethylene oxide is one of the sterilization methods of medical devices. It is one of the preferred methods especially because medical plastic materials are sensitive to heat.

As a result of full cycle sterilization, Ethylene Oxide, Ethylene Chlorhydrin and Ethylene Glycol are detected by Ethylene oxide residue analysis on the sterilized product. The detection results must comply with ISO 10993-7 Biological evaluation of medical devices-Part 7: Ethylene oxide sterilization residues detection limits.

Ethylene Oxide Residue analysis is performed according to the following standards.
